Isaiah looked UPWARD and saw God’s awesome Majesty (Isaiah 6:1-3). Then, Isaiah looked INWARD and identified himself with the sinful condition of his people (Isaiah 6:5-7). Finally, Isaiah looked OUTWARD and responded to God’s call “Who will go for us?” by making himself available (Isaiah 6:8-10).
When Isaiah saw the glory of God, he cried, “I am undone!” I know a little of how he would have felt. Years ago, at a breakfast for well-known missionary evangelist Daniel Kolenda, the anointing on his life made me feel as though I was coming unglued. Kolenda was only speaking, not even preaching, and my table was at least 10m away.
While viewing Daniel Kolenda’s YouTube video posts on the evil of Cessation — the belief that miracles ceased with the death of the last of the Twelve Apostles — my estimation of Daniel Kolenda as a teacher as well as a missionary evangelist, rose exponentially. He is a worthy successor to the late Reinhart Bonke, who founded “Christ for all Nations”. (Bonke led 75,000,000 to Jesus, and Kolenda has so far led more than 20,000,000.
During 50 mission trips overseas, I have come to know the presence of the LORD and, as unsettling as my unglued experience was at the above-mentioned breakfast, I want more! You will, too, when you feel as “undone” as Isaiah did, or as unglued as I did! Very soon, I pray!
