The Lost and Found Department

We value the true worth of an item only after we’ve lost it, and it’s the same with friendships, only more so. With this in mind, how can we value a relationship we’ve never had with a person we’ve never known? This is important. We should think about it, especially once we realize that we are lost.

The best friend you never had is seeking to be your Saviour and friend, your confidante, your advocate. When you acknowledge him, you will have gained a friend forever. Not only in this life but beyond it in the next one. Why on earth would you not want this?

You may have heard of or read John 3:16 but 3:17 makes it clear that God sent Jesus not to condemn the world but to save it. A man whose book I wrote was pardoned despite the crimes that he had committed. He told me that when he was pardoned the authorities erased all the records of his crimes, so they never took place. God does that He removes every record of our sins in the moment we believe that Jesus died for us and we accept him as our Saviour and Lord. “Us” includes every person; it includes you.

Why would you not? A private prayer to God from your heart and in your own words, including a confession to God of your guilt and willingness to be pardoned, will take only a minute or two. This will enable you to receive eternal life now and to live beyond it, forever.

Please pray this prayer: “Dear God, I know that I have sinned and that I need You to save me. I acknowledge my sins, believing that on the cross the sinless Jesus died in my place. I surrender my life to you. Help me to live for you through whatever problems I face in this life. I cannot do this on my own, so please be with me. THANK YOU. Amen” (Now Read Romans chapter10, verses 9 &10)

The decision you just made will be the most important one ever. To be “saved” is to be no longer lost. Consider yourself now found. The Lost and Found Department in Heaven is beyond happy!
