The Kingdom Comes When We Preach It!

We heal the sick in the authority of the Lord’s name because doing so is a sign of the kingdom of God. Our hands become the hands of Jesus Christ. I well remember a pastor in LA who, after hearing me preach on the Kingdom of God coming “unexpectedly”, got to his feet and declared to all present: “Well, we’ve just heard about this Kingdom — let’s see the power of it!”

Well, he certainly did — there and then — when the Kingdom came powerfully into the church! A young woman was set free from a spirit of infirmity and healed from Bulimia. What had until then been a meeting became a revival! At the close, the pastor stuffed $200 into my hand and courteously but with a look of relief saw me to the door! (I later heard that his absent wife had been away in Reno, Nevada, playing the poker machines.)

We boarded our flight back to Australia two days later with God’s marvelous miracle in mind and US dollars in my pocket. “The LORD had “taken pleasure in the prosperity of His servant” (Psalm 35:27) *

“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The heavenly kingdom appears on earth when we act in the Name of Jesus. So, make sure to include the kingdom in your message because when you do the King will then be present in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Just as Jesus is present spiritually whenever two or three believers pray in his name.)

The kingdom will be visible fully when Jesus returns to earth and establishes his throne in the New Jerusalem. Don’t wait until then but include the kingdom of God when you share the eternal-life-saving message of Jesus Christ!

When you do, the “signs” that followed the apostles will follow you! Your message will then be more than a proclamation of the soon-coming, world-changing event of Christ’s return and establishment of his kingdom worldwide, but a demonstration of “the powers of the age to come” in this present life!

Would YOU like to see the power of the king in your local church? Then preach him as Lord and coming King and as already present in the life-changing power of the Spirit of God!

*Note: I do believe in holistic, biblical prosperity, as in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and in 3 John 2 (where “wish” in New Testament Greek can also be translated “will”.)
