The more I think about it, the more certain I become that Progressive Liberalism is a form of creeping insanity. Or demonic delusion. Nations close their borders to animal diseases that threaten flocks and herds, and to human diseases that threaten people’s health. Yet they open their borders to many outsiders who openly declare that their goal is to destroy Western civilization: all that brave men and women fought for and we their descendants stand for.
It’s not “the gods” who “first make mad those whom they would destroy” but instead those who turn away from the One True God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Bible-based beliefs are the basis of all that is progressive, and in forsaking these beliefs for those of false gods, this generation is sowing the seeds of what will surely be its destruction.
The True God will in the end triumph over every false god, but in the process, the world as we know it — the civilization that was founded on The Bible — is now on the brink of destruction. The reason for all the volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, out-of-control fires, and other disasters is made clear in Isaiah 26:9 — “When Your judgements are in the earth, those who inhabit it shall learn righteousness.” You are seeing some of His judgements now, and more of them, it seems, day by day.
Many would object to this view; they would say that the increasing frequency of disasters worldwide is due to natural disruptions. But what other way could God show us His judgements than disruptions?
Jesus Christ spoke of such destructive events in Matthew, chapter 24, in Mark, chapter 13, and in Luke, chapter 21. Some of them related to the soon-coming destruction of the Jerusalem Temple, which occurred in AD70, and the three years of siege warfare leading to that terrible event in history. But some of the prophetic warnings point beyond them to present-day signs now appearing in the skies and on earth.
Christians seeing these sins pray not only for family and friends but also for others who do not know Jesus as their Saviour, the one who can keep them safe. Jesus said that the hearts of many would “fail them for fear” at the things taking place around them. Think of the helplessness that will accompany total lawlessness. Or worse, the very thought of appearing before the Holy God with no defence for sins committed during a lifetime.
Please, turn to God and ask Him to forgive you because Jesus died for your sins — while you can. The choice is repentance and God’s assurance of everlasting life, or refusal and a life of continuing sin, guilt, shame, and never-ending remorse. Peace with God is just a prayer away…
