So, How Can God Help You?

Nothing is inevitable to God, who foreknew it all and factored every action and reaction by everyone into His perfect plan. After a night of prayer Jesus chose Judas, knowing that he would betray him. Judas did not have to betray him — his decision to do so was not inevitable. But foreknowing that he would, God led Jesus to include him among his twelve disciples.

The same explains Pontius Pilate’s decision: he did not have to weakly give in to the Jews and crucify Jesus, whom he knew to be innocent. However, God knew that he would and so placed him in the position from which he could. God’s ways are past finding out!

There’s no “after the event” rationalization with God — He knew about the “event” long before it took place. He knew it all from the beginning of time. We are not trying to comprehend the unknown ways of an inscrutable deity who patches up unseen problems over the passage of time.

The Almighty God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, has no “Plan B”. Having foreseen the end from the beginning, He has no need of one. If you lived all your life in the same town, you wouldn’t need a road map to find your way around.

How much more does God, who created everything, know His way around His creation! Not only as its Architect but also its Builder, Furnisher, and, through seasonal, tidal, and innumerable other laws of nature He set in place, the Supplier and Maintainer of all that He created.

Yes, the world is all but wrecked, but we were the ones who did that. Which is why God sent Jesus to fix us and the world through us. The heavenly supply chain is more than reliable: as we supply the needs of others, God in turn supplies all our needs “according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:15-19).

So, how can God help you today?
