Our reactions to problems in life are often greater than the problems themselves. Newton’s Third Law of Motion states: “For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.” We need to respond to problems positively instead of reacting to them with negative pushbacks.
We need to see each one as a challenge that we can overcome instead of a problem we have to undergo; as an opportunity to move ahead rather than a possibility of falling behind. In Ephesians 4:23 & 28, the Apostle Paul teaches us clearly about how to go about this.
Psychology shows us how to find the answers within us, but the New Testament reveals that the real answers are found in the words of Jesus Christ and the letters of his Apostles. Psychology works well through the development of a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA), but authentic spirituality works through the transformation of our old thinking by “the mind of Christ”.
Psychology has its limits but the “mind of Christ” releases us from mindsets established over time by negative experiences.
“The mind of Christ” — how Jesus thought while on earth and how he thinks in us from heaven — strengthens us to be able to do “all things” — even in situations which indicate that nothing more can be done (Philippians 4:13).
The sum of our Lord’s thoughts in our minds enables us to humble ourselves and best serve others, and in so doing be blessed by God in this life and rewarded by Jesus in the next one. A life that will not merely be infinite but eternal: endless; everlasting (Philippians 2:7).
One in which no Third Law of Motion; no push/pushback reactivity, will exist. Nor even come to mind. Think on these things, Elon Musk because If you ever do land on Mars, I might well be there waiting to meet and greet you.
