Three Things To Think About

Has your long-time dream been delayed? Here are three things worth thinking about:

1. THE JOY OF SOME OVER WHAT NOW IS MAY BE MINGLED WITH THE SORROW OF OTHERS OVER WHAT ONCE WAS (Ezra 3:10-13) Those old enough to remember the glory of Solomon’s temple wept when the modesty of its replacement became apparent.

2. GOD’S BLESSING ON A PROJECT THAT IS RESUMED MAY BE EVEN GREATER THAN IT WAS WHEN IT COMMENCED. (Haggai 2:15-19) After 18 years of forced stoppage, God’s blessing on the people would be “from this day forward” – long before than expected.

3. A THING THAT IS RESTORED MAY BE DISTINGUISHED MORE BY ITS PROMISE THAN ITS PAST. (Haggai 2:1-9) The glory of the Second Temple would result from the entry into it of “the Desire of All Nations” – Jesus Christ!
