The “father” of the Judeo-Christian faith was Abraham not Moses. The Law of Moses, which was added hundreds of years later, did not invalidate the Covenant that God had made with Abraham. If salvation were by Law, we would all be on probation, but through faith and by God’s grace we’ve been pardoned. We are “children of promise” and so are not slaves to a system of rigid religious rules (Galatians 3:17-19).
Laws exist to condemn those who break them, not those who by nature keep them. Those who are born again are “partakers of the divine nature”. Having that nature, we live and do as Jesus did (2 Peter 1:4). We refrain from using self-punishing words such as “could’ve”, “would’ve” or “should’ve” because regrets belong to the past.
Nor do we walk endlessly on religious treadmills. We live to love God our Father, and His Son Jesus Christ, and to be led by the Holy Spirit. We know where we are going, and we enjoy walking in the steps of Jesus.
Would you like to live free from guilt and regret? Like to be led through life by someone who does not disappoint? That person is Jesus Christ, and he is waiting for you to come and surrender your life to him. Do it now, where you are. Ask God to forgive your sins. He will because His Son Jesus died to save you from them, including those sins known to God and you alone, which you’ve long wished you could forget.
God is ready and willing to save you from your sins: you only need to ask Him to do so in the Name of Jesus — please do so because time is fast running out! Just look at the terrible state the world is in, and it’s getting worse by the day! Just cry out to God like so many have done by praying: “God, if You are there and really do care, please help me!”
