Fluid Fellowship

A church fellowship ought to be more fluid than solid — more like the river than the rocks that are in it. Yet most meetings have an Order of Service — habitual if not written down — that hinders the fluid movement of the Spirit of God. (Oh for a revival that will lift the river high above the rocks!) Here are some things that can help make fellowship more fluid:

A fluid church meeting flows unpredictably

A fluid church meeting is a spiritual journey

A fluid church meeting soon adapts to needs

A fluid church meeting allows for spiritual gifts

A fluid church meeting addresses real life issues

A fluid church meeting is a refreshing experience

A fluid church meeting has a crystal clear message

A fluid church meeting may be unlike anything you’ve

ever experienced.

There’s nothing wrong with structure — without a skeletal structure of elders a church body is like a jellyfish. It’s more a matter of allowing the Spirit of God to flow freely so that the Lord can have His way in a meeting. God’s structure is not a man-made one but one of leaders — the fivefold ministries and deacons that He has placed in the Church. Spiritual leaders know when the Spirit has done the work and know how to bring it into order. Have greater, more fluid meetings!
