Authority Lost and Regained Part 2

The terms Father God and Mother Nature are opposites, because God loves His Creation! Mother Nature goddess worship feminizes males through androgynous fashion, movies, and advertising. Fathers are made to look like fools. The man is invariably bald, helpless, and indecisive, whereas his wife is beautiful, power-dressed, smart, decisive, and in charge. This image is calculated to diminish male authority by disempowering them and subjecting them to the will of females. Mother Nature requires unquestioning obedience! She may be capricious but who dares question her? The most fervent defenders of Global Warming are university educated, disenfranchised males!

God is our Father, not our mother. He is Almighty God, not just a god or goddess. He is the Creator of all things, not an earth force that reacts when offended by human actions. God put Adam in charge, not Eve. He holds men responsible when they subject their God-given authority to that of women other than in their God-given role as mothers and as equals in business, commerce and politics.

The fallen nature of Man resulted in a fallen Nature. But those who recognise God as a loving Father challenge the unruly behaviour of Nature in its fallen state.  The greatest discoveries in medicine were made by men and women living in civilised nations. They challenged the passivity that held pagan nations in fatalism, in the passivity of “whatever will be, will be”. They said, “The future is ours to see” and changed their world!

The relentless forces of Nature were overcome by stronger housing, medicinal remedies, inoculation, hospitals and nursing homes – by all the things that counteract the forces of fallen Nature in bondage. The feminizing of men has diminished their authority by subjecting them to Nature, which is unpredictable. Spiritually this has enabled devilish Jezebels to emerge and to dominate weak political Ahabs.

Jezebels misuse the stamp of man’s ruling authority for evil purposes, and surround themselves with eunuchs — neutered males. It took an Elijah to prove the identity of the True God. But it took a Jehu to bring down Jezebel and to destroy the house of Ahab (2 Kings, chapters 9 & 10). Deborah the prophetess was not a Jezebel but a spiritual woman who stepped into a role largely vacated by male authority. She won a battle, and in so doing saved her people (Judges, chapters 4 & 5).

A feminised religion is no match for one that intrudes and rules by force. But real Christianity is not a religion but a lifestyle. It is assertive in regard to its role in society. It encourages men to advance rather than retreat, to get off the back-foot and onto the front foot. It does not devalue women but values them for their uniqueness in the sight of God and for their intrinsic worth in the home and in society. Godly authority is manly, and godly women welcome it in the form and the behaviour of godly men.
